The Sanctuary has a legacy of expertise and know-how for protecting our rich, native environment and sensitive ecosystem. From early on, Audubon International, the world’s leading golf environmental certification program, has designated The Sanctuary Golf Club a Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary. Much of the planning of the golf course involves protection of endangered species, maintenance of wildlife habitats and migratory routes, nesting sites and food sources.  In complement with Audubon International, The Sanctuary created a very strict regimen of maintenance practices to ensure long-term success.
